The incident resulted in the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two individuals are now facing charges related to a suitcase robbery where a suspected irritant spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, according to official statements.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A toddler was among those injured in the event. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were subsequently released.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
