Tributes Continue for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt prepared to share openly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can now put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced passing more hours together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the film, adding that he cannot recall "a single day without laughter".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a different piece, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles judge decided to prevent the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive put a restriction on the investigation to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" connected to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of homicide, with a official listing citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

Following the tragedy, public figures expressed different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing provocative statements that were met with immediate backlash by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the critics last week. Talking on his program, Rogan characterized the comments as "disappointing" and suggested they showed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by remarking that an adviser ought to have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
