The English golfer Wins Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in Dramatic Playoff Showdown Versus Tommy Fleetwood

The 30-year-old golfer demonstrated remarkable nerve to claim the prestigious Abu Dhabi title on the final day, defeating Tommy Fleetwood in a tense playoff following a topsy-turvy last day of play.

Rai nailed a crucial birdie from around eight feet to clinch the win, echoing his only previous tournament success at the Scottish Open in 2020, which was also a play-off win over the same opponent.

That set up a play-off at Yas Links where the eventual winner triumphed to claim the title and $1.5m (£1.13m) in winnings.
