The Brazilian star Offers Sincere Sorry to Real Madrid Supporters

The attacker has scored five strikes in 10 Spanish league outings during the current campaign.

Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr has said sorry to the fanbase for his conduct when substituted in the recent intense El Clasico triumph.

Vinicius was substituted in the second half and displayed his annoyance by heading directly off the pitch.

The Brazilian subsequently came back to the dugout and, after his club's 2-1 victory, sought to engage Barcelona's opposing player during contentious final whistle scenes.

"Now I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my response when I was replaced in the Clasico," Vinicius posted on his account.

"In the same way as I have said in person during the latest practice, I also want to say sorry once more to my team-mates, the team, and the president.

"Occasionally fervor takes over me because I continuously aim to win and help my club. My winning mentality originates in the love I have for this team and each thing it stands for."

The player signed for Madrid from his former club in recent years for £38.7m and has accumulated over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.

But his future in the Spanish capital is unclear with rumors in recent months indicating that Real would consider allowing the player move on if they obtained a good proposal.

When Vinicius was replaced on the match day, cameras from broadcaster Dazn recorded him remarking: "Again me! I'm leaving the team! It's preferable if I leave, I'm moving on."

In his latest post on X, the athlete said: "I vow to keep striving at all times for the benefit of Los Blancos, as I have acted since the very beginning."
